Dement Township, Ogle County, Illinois
Dement Township is one of twenty-four townships in Ogle County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 825.[1]
History
Dement Township was formed from the east half of Flagg Township on September 11, 1855.[2]
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, Dement Township covers an area of 34.91 square miles (90.4 km2); of this, 34.86 square miles (90.3 km2) (99.86 percent) is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km2) (0.14 percent) is water. It contains the village of Creston, and the east side of the city of Rochelle.
